Today sure was a beauty. The sun was doing his thing all day long. Not a cloud in site. The temperature was hovering around 90. Carrie and I went over and picked up her brother Jonny, and we all went to the family reunion over at the church on 8th street. It has been a minute since we all last got together thanks to the virus. So you can imagine it was pretty special.
My own family stopped having reunions after my uncle Paul passed away. He was the last of my Mom’s family that caired to mess with organizing such a thing. So I have adopted Carrie’s family reunion as my own.
Yesterday, three of my daughters came over. Aliya, Autumn, and Alissa, along with Ali’s man, Seth, and their puppy Sam. We all had a wonderful cookout out back. Afterwords, we took a nice leisurely walk through the neighborhood and talked about old times. Then we all loaded up in the cars and went to Frazier’s dairy bar on Main Street for some ice-cream. GOD sure was good to me this weekend and I just want to tell him thanks!!
I don’t have much to talk about. Never have.. But I sure am grateful for what GOD has blessed me with. Sometimes life can be a bit overwhelming, and so we can get all caught up in the negative and loos site of the good things in our lives. I am trying to be more thankful these days. Life is good!!
