Art's Roast Beef Recipe.
TOP SECRET!
8-10 servings 4-5 hours prep time
- Don't ask me where I got this-
3-4 lbs rump roast
2 cups water
15 ounces tomato sauce or pizza sauce
1 onion cut into large pieces
2 green peppers cut into large pieces
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes... more if you want it hotter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon anise seed or 1/2 teaspoon funnel seed french bread
1. Bake roast in 350 degree oven until done (usually an hour & a half to two hours.)
2. Put water, sauce, onion, green pepper, in a crock pot and allow them to cook on low while beef is baking.
3. When beef is done, slice it thin and put it in the crock pot with the sauce.
4. Let the beef simmer in the sauce for 2-3 hours.
5. Serve it on the french bread.
