memory lane

Have you ever looked back to when you were very young just starting out in life? Some things you can remember as if it were yesterday. Others, not so much. I was thinking about back when I was in grade school. Now keep in mind, I was born in 1960 so this was over half a century ago. O M G… Well, here is what I came up with. Not bad.

25th street elementary school (The Racers)

It has been a while. Lets see if I can do this.

Mrs Merkel for kindergarten 

Mrs Spangler for 1st grade

Mrs Frame for 2nd grade

Mrs Gray for 3rd grade

Mrs Willes - Misses Wetz  4th grade

Mrs Hofer for 5th grade

Mr Cummings for 6th grade

Our bus drivers name was Chuck Ball

The librarian was Mrs Sibert

The janitor was a fellow named Mr Boblett

Mrs Bear was the music teacher.  (she would put lipstick on and kiss you on the face for your birthday)  fortunately, mine was during summer vacation. lol

The gym or P E teacher was Mr Woods

The art teacher was Mr Keuszarri or something like that. (nice guy)

I can’t remember the Religious Education teacher but she was a very nice lady. 

Some of my best memories as a child were going to the annual Joan Of Ark Fish Fry at 25th street school during the month of May each year. And ofcorse the annual candy sell. 

My elementary school is gone, my junior high and high school are gone. Its like Anderson has no place for tradition at all.  That is so sad.
