oops, I did it again!

Stranger In Paradise

by Jeff LeMond

Mid day summer sun warms up a cloudless deep blue sky.

The scent of jasmine fills the air;  as moments passing by.

Monarchs  and swallowtails are  fluttering about.

Attracted by some daffodils and lilacs, no doubt.

A panoramic soundscape, like such is seldom heard.

The lowest hum of dragonflies, a distant singing bird.

Softly swaying prairie grass; dances in lite breeze.

As nature’s awesome artwork, is living in her trees.

Sturdy is the ground beneath this rolling wonderland.

This paradise so perfect,   it’s vistas, vast and grand.

Just off to the east of here,  a lovely, cheerful brook.

With ducks and geese and swans and fish,

it’s worth a closer look.

So much going on out here,

Majestic,   Oh so nice.

One might feel quite small out here.

A stranger in paradise.
